John Garrad-Cole

John moved permanently to Whistler with his family and joined Thornhill in 2010. He has a long history with and deep affection for Whistler, having first worked here for a winter season in 1998 after completing his university degree, and then marrying his Canadian wife, Leah, at Nicklaus North in 2007. He and Leah acquired a rental property in Whistler through Maggi and Max in 2007, before moving permanently to Canada from the UK in 2009.

John’s decision to join Thornhill was driven both by his previous relationship with Maggi and Max but also by his identification of Thornhill as the pre-eminent brand within the Whistler real estate market.

John’s economics degree and 10 year career as an investment banker in London have provided him with an invaluable skill set to serve as your real estate agent. In banking he worked as a corporate finance adviser, where his focus on client service, negotiation, project management, valuation and financial analysis assisted corporate clients in delivering multi-million dollar acquisitions and equity raisings. He brings the same high levels of dedication and expertise to the servicing of his Whistler real estate clients, coupled with the ability to advise on real estate transactions within the context of the fuller investment portfolio picture.
